ALERT: Zynga’s Not Handing Out Farm Subsidies This Christmas

If you see a Facebook status update claiming that Zynga is giving away farm cash, trust us, it’s not true.

Thousands of Facebook status updates are being published on Facebook, saying this or some variation thereof:

Yiepppppeeeee… Zynga team gave me 300 Farm Cash worth 50$ absolutely free….yes FREE for Christmas celebration..I am sooooo damn happy today..! Take yours also it is limited off for FEW HOURS ONLY…go to their app… ^.^ -> [LINK ERASED]

In the last few minutes a more elaborate banner has been showing up as well:

Obviously, none of these are real, so don’t click on them! In fact, if you come across one of these fake applications that are trying to sell you stuff or share your information, report it to Facebook. Know that the only ways you can get Farm Cash to play Farmville are:

1. purchase it in the application
2. ask your your friends to buy it for you as a gift
3. enter official contests through the official Zynga/Farmville forums

This is the way it has always been, and always will be. Have you seen these posts or know of anyone who clicked through the whole application?
